AJ Christensen


AJ is a visualization programmer for the Advanced Visualization Lab (AVL) at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. The AVL creates animations for science films from massive supercomputer datasets. Their work can be seen on a variety of conventional and large-format screens, including digital domes and IMAX theaters. He is a co-founder of the Champaign-Urbana Film Society, the Chair of ACM SIGGRAPH’s Student Chapters, and he organizes students for the IGDA.

Donna J. Cox


Donna J. Cox, MFA and PhD. She is Director of the Advanced Visualization Lab at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications and Director of the Illinois eDream Institute, Professor in School of Art and Design, University of Illinois. She hold the Michael Aiken Endowed Chair. She works with scientists to develop visualizations for discovery and outreach. In 1986, Cox developed 'Renaissance Teams," interdisciplinary groups of artists and scientists devoted to problem-solving.

Jacki Morie


Dr Morie is CEO of All These Worlds, a company focused on virtual worlds and how our avatars affect our lives. She was Sr Researcher at USC’s ICT for 13 years & before that worked in the animation industry for 6 years, creating specialized training for Walt Disney Feature Animation and Rhythm and Hues. From 1990 to 1994, she researched Virtual Reality at the Institute for Simulation and Training in Orlando. She serves on ACM SIGGRAPH’s Executive Council. Her PhD was on virtual embodiment.
