Pamela Jennings


Pamela Jennings, PhD, MBA, MFA is the founder of Noblewire, LLC. She has been the Director of the Shapiro Center at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago since 2011 and former Program Director at the National Science Foundation Program where she led the CreativeIT program and co-managed Human Centered Computing. From 2001 – 2007, Pamela was a Professor at Carnegie Mellon University with a joint appointment in the School of Art and the Human Computer Interaction Institute.

J.D. Talasek


JD Talasek is the director of Cultural Programs of the National Academy of Sciences (www.cpnas.org). Talasek is creator and moderator for a monthly salon called DASER held at the NAS. He is currently on the faculty at Johns Hopkins University in the Museum Studies Master’s Program. Additionally, Talasek serves on the Contemporary Art and Science Committee (CASC) at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. He is the art advisor for Issues in Science and Technology Magazine. He was the creator and organizer of two international on-line symposia: Visual Culture + Bioscience (2009) and Visual Culture + Evolution (2010).
